Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen, war ein schoener Abschluss unseres Urlaubes und wir sind hoch erfreut ueber Ihren Kombinationsvorschlag der beiden Gaestehaeuser mit der Wanderung zwischen den beiden, das war wirklich sehr schoen.

Uns hat es wirklich sehr gut gefallen. Vor allem wie sehr sich die Familie um uns gekuemmert hat. Man hat einfach gemerkt, dass sie einen gern bei sich haben. Schoen war auch, dass sich Muhlima (Sentyab) immer mal Zeit fuer uns genommen hat sich mit uns zu unterhalten, was erstaunlich gut geklappt hat. Bobosh, der Sohn, hat eine Wahnsinnsleistung gezeigt und Geduld mit uns und dem Esel gehabt den Berg hoch zu kommen. Er hat viel erzaehlt und uns auch besondere Stellen, wie Hoehlen und Wasserstellen gezeigt. Also bitte nochmal ein Riesendankeschoen an ihn.

Und nochmals vielen Dank fuer Ihre Eco-Tourism-Initiative! Unsere beiden Hotelier-Betreiberinnen (in Samarkand) haben zwar zu manchem, was wir Ihnen erzaehlt haben, den Kopf geschuettelt (naja, in den Bergen geht es halt etwas rustikaler zu) - aber fuer uns, Gerald und mich, war all das, auch und gerade das Imperfekte der homestays, ein Riesenerlebnis! In bester Erinnerung an den Pik Fazilman und die Tour insgesamt!

We feel very privileged to have had the opportunity to be pioneer tourists in the area and will always remember the extraordinary hospitality of the three families we met. If you come across several little girls who start reciting English nursery rhymes you will know to blame us! We enjoyed the food very much and appreciated that it was traditional local food. We thought hygiene standards were good. All families gave us an appropriate level of privacy yet, at the same time, we felt very much part of each family. As you know, we found Alibek to be an outstanding guide. We enjoyed his company and his knowledge enhanced our experience.

Sentyab, Rahima’s guesthouse: We could not have a better end to our holiday in Uzbekistan. We have enjoyed being part of your family for two days and we only wish that we could stay longer. The guesthouse is a wonderful place, everyone has been friendly, the food has been outstanding and the “beds” are really comfortable.

Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen.

Hayat, Shiringuls Gaestehaus: War sehr sauber, sehr nette bemuehte Leute, Essen sehr gut, haben einen beheizten Ofen bekommen. Taxiservice hat sehr gut geklappt.

Uhum, Djumaguls Gaestehaus: Einer unserer Favoriten, Bahrom und Familie haben es uns wirklich ermoeglicht in ihrer Umgebung Zeit zu verbringen, der Sandal im Wohnzimmer hat nicht nur die Katze sondern auch uns gluecklich gemacht.
Obwohl wir keine gemeinsame Sprache zur Kommunikation hatten, war dies ueberhaupt kein Problem.
Essen war sehr lecker, Plov sensationell. Die Familie ist sehr nett und wir haben dort sehr schoene Tage verbracht und wurden auch von vielen anderen Leuten zum Tee eingeladen.

Asraf, Yahshiguls Gaestehaus: Sehr nette Familie mit vermutlich der besten Kueche. Auch hier war die Sprachbarriere kein Thema, vor allem die Lehrerin und ihre Tochter sind sehr reizend und wir haben auch einige selber hergestellte Mitbringsel erstehen koennen.

You’ve set up something very special indeed. I will certainly be giving your project the highest recommendation to all I meet and online. It was just what we were looking for, an authentic, unspoilt village homestay experience. Sarah and I are astonished by the amount of time, attention, food and preparation the hosts gave to us. The homestay families will remain in our thoughts and hearts.
Zamira’s Homestay
Essentially faultless
• Sarbon is amazing, Sarah and I will remember him as having the most benevolent nature we have ever met in a person. He was also a 1st rate guide and host. We miss him.
• Our room had plenty of character, warmth and no dirt.
• The service was excellent, Sarbon always went 10 extra miles for us, and he never even expected so much as a “thank you,” he was top drawer.
• The “hammam” was wonderful, especially on the last morning when Sarbon threw plenty of firewood at it. It felt like a luxury spa, we did not want to get out.
• Dead quiet at night.

Upper Uhum, Anor’s Homestay
• Wonderfully warm family, farm vibe, we felt very much a part of the family, we really loved this involvement.
• Anor is very much the star attraction; she runs a loving house full of warmth, laughter and fine food.
• Our room had plenty of character, warmth (we loved the fireplace) and no dirt.
• The local attractions (water wheel, crafts).

Otaqorgon guest yurt
• The drive out across the plains and the lakeside was gorgeous.
• The generosity and warm agreeable personality of the yurt owner Shodi is striking. I really got the feeling he was bending over backwards to make it work. A good man.

Sentyab, Muhlima’s Homestay
This is your Rolls Royce. When I’m back at my mad job in the crazy city, I’ll cast my mind back to this place.
• A beautiful family that make you feel like golden royalty. Sarah and I both think of Mirolim as our Uzbek dad; when he is around everything feels safe and taken care of. Muhlima did a thousand classy things, like filling up the wash sink with warm water 4 times a day.
• The walk up the valley was wonderful, it was like going back in time 300 years.
• You should make it known that you don’t get room but a whole house to yourself.
• The hamman was wonderful.
• Dead quiet at night.
