Transport Details:
- Transport details: For groups of 1-2 participants, transportation is provided by sedan car. You will be transferred to the border by our Samarkand driver, where a local Tajik driver will take over and guide you through the tour in Tajikistan.
Guide Information: The guided tour begins once you cross the border into Tajikistan, where a local English-speaking guide, well-versed in the region’s history and natural attractions, will lead you. In the Uzbekistan portion of the tour, you will be accompanied by the driver.
- Participants: The tour operates with a minimum of 2 participants and a maximum of 12 participants.
- Fitness Level: The tour is suitable for participants with all fitness levels.
- Age Restrictions: We recommend participants be aged 12 and above.
- Clothing:
- Spring (April-May) and Autumn (September-October): Layered clothing to accommodate varying temperatures. Pack long-sleeved shirts, a light jacket or sweater for cooler mornings and evenings, and comfortable trousers.
- Summer (June-August): Lightweight, breathable clothing such as cotton or linen shirts and trousers. A wide-brimmed hat or cap is essential for sun protection. Consider bringing a light scarf or shawl for additional coverage.
- Other Essentials: Ensure you bring sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, a reusable bottle, and comfortable walking shoes.

Day Trip to Samarkand from Tashkent
Day 1 – Samarkand – Tajikistan – Samarkand
At 7 AM, you will be picked up from your hotel in Samarkand and transferred to Uzbek – Tajik border near Jartepa. Complete the border formalities and cross to the Tajik side where our driver and guide will be waiting for you. Start your tour with the transfer to Penjikent city. The first stop is at the Sarazm Ruins, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Central Asia’s oldest settlements, dating back 5,500 years. This site offers a fascinating glimpse into the region’s ancient history. Then continue to the Seven Lakes located in the Shing River Valley. These beautiful lakes are part of the Fann Mountains and are known for their changing colors, ranging from deep blue to turquoise throughout the day. The visit includes the lakes Nezhigon, Soybean, Gushor, Nofin, Hurdak, Marguzor, and Hazorchashma. A gentle walk along the lakes provides stunning views and a peaceful experience, with an opportunity to learn about their cultural and natural significance. Conclude your visit to the lakes and head back to the border via Penjikent. After crossing the border, you will be greeted by our driver on the Uzbek side, who will ensure a comfortable transfer to your hotel.
