Experience Heartwarming Hospitality in Remote Villages of the Nuratau Mountains
Embark on a meaningful 3-day journey through the tranquil Nuratau Mountains and discover the charm of rural Uzbekistan. This experience offers an authentic look into village life while surrounding you with stunning natural landscapes. You will stay in welcoming local homestays—your first night in Hayat and the second in Sayyod—where you can observe daily activities such as harvesting, butter-making, bread baking, and fruit preserving. These simple traditions reflect the deep connection villagers maintain with their land and heritage.
During your stay, you’ll have the chance to interact with local families, learn about their customs, and appreciate the calm rhythm of life in the mountains. Each homestay is comfortable, modest, and rooted in genuine hospitality, ensuring you enjoy both cultural immersion and relaxation.
This journey also makes a positive impact. By choosing community-based tourism, you directly support the livelihood of rural families, help create sustainable income opportunities, and contribute to the preservation of traditional skills and the natural environment. Your visit encourages local communities to continue protecting their culture and way of life for future generations.

In the afternoon, transfer by car to Sayyod village. Settle into your homestay and take some time to explore the village. In the evening, enjoy a home-cooked dinner with a local family.
Day 3 – Hike in Sayyod and transfer to Samarkand: In the morning, start a 3-hour (approx. 6 km) hike in the surrounding mountains. You will return to the homestay around lunchtime. After lunch, your driver will take you back to your hotel in Samarkand (about 3 hours’ drive).
