Location: 38 km along the main road from Bog’don to Nurata, 9 km towards the mountains.

Owner: Ulugbek Ergashev

Ulugbek’s homestay was established in 2016. It is constructed out of local rocks and blends in well with the mountain environment. There are 6 guest rooms furnished with carpets and wooden beds, where up to 4 people can be accommodated in each room. A little brook passes through the garden in front of the house, where there is a supa (a clay platform ) to rest, drink tea, read a book, or even sleep on at night. There is a flush toilet and showers with hot water in the homestay. You can watch or participate in the preparation of traditional dishes or bread baking in a tandir oven. Ulugbek’s homestay is an ideal starting point for short or longer mountain hikes into the Nuratau Mountains. You can also hike to the next guest house in the Asraf valley or hike to another homestay in Hayat village. Uhum is one of the ancient and largest villages of the Nuratau Mountains so you have a lot to discover. You may hike to a petroglyph site in the Nuratau Nature Reserve or visit the ruins of an ancient fortress and the mausoleum of an Islamic priest who was the first to preach the religion in this region.

You may book your stay in the homestay through the office or by contacting the hosts directly (phone number +998 99 5524022). The homestay owner speaks elementary English.
